Do you know about Autism?

Hello people, a friend of mine ask me to help out in some charity event. Basically she just asked me to blog bout the event so that more people can be exposed to it. It's "Hold My Hand Charity Carnival Fundraising For Autism. Honestly i had no idea about autism before i start blogging. What i knew was just that people who has autism do not make friend, do not talk to others ; in chinese we called it 自閉.. So, i did some research based on the topic & i found out that people who has autism are much more that what i knew.




Autism :- A mental condition, present from early childhood, characterized by great difficulty in communicating and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts.

People with autism may:

• Be overly sensitive in sight, hearing, touch, smell, or taste (for example, they may refuse to wear "itchy" clothes and become distressed if they are forced to wear the clothes)

• Have unusual distress when routines are changed

• Perform repeated body movements

• Show unusual attachments to objects

Kids with autism aren't weird ; They are -

A- Always

U- Unique
T- Totally
I- Interested
S- Sometimes
M- Mysterious
